for Artists & Photographers

Much has been written about the importance of attaining ‘giclée quality’ standards in prints from paintings or photographs. However, only a small number of those using this practice have successfully set up suitable equipment and, more importantly, acquired the skills and techniques necessary to achieve not only the lasting qualities of giclée prints but also the satisfaction of the artist that the exact atmosphere and colour have been perfectly captured and reproduced.

Giclée prints are defined as being museum quality fine-art reproductions (also called archival prints). These artworks are made using a high-resolution printer with pigment dye inks on acid-free papers, thus with the prospect of lasting the longest period of time currently possible. This, however, does not guarantee that they faithfully reproduce the original artist’s colours and light balances; this requires the expertise described on the next page.

Welcome to my site

As an ex professional photographer, I am acutely aware of the need for the skill and highest possible standards required to accurately reproduce a painting/drawing, or a negative/digital image, to match the quality of the original and to satisfy the needs of the most discerning artist or photographer. For many years I have been producing unusually high quality art prints, and can now extend this service on a small scale to include some additional clients who are seeking only the very best quality of reproduction for their own works of art.
